what does a misfire mean i have already changed the spark plugs and the wires and the catalytic converter what else could it mean

One of the cylenders isn't burning the fuel that it gets. If you replaced the plug and wire, there could be a problem with getting fuel to the cylender. Have you checked that? Also, what code are you getting? Is it a random misfire or a specific cylender?
