2002 Buick Century 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My car did not pass emissions test. I was told by my mechanic that I needed a catalytic converter. I want to buy the part myself. Looking on the internet I located several types and price ranges for this part. what should this part look like and how much should it cost with and without labor?

The price from Auto Zone is $86.99 You can see it at : http://www.autozone.com/selectedZip,15601/initialAction,partProductDetail/initialpartType,00071/initialR,2296498/initialvehicleId,2714601/shopping/selectZip.htm Labor to replace it shouldn't be more than an hour. NOTE: The converted listed above is not made for Ca. emissions.
