2001 Buick Century Service engine light is on

Teh SEL is on (and had been on for 10 months) - I have taken it to 3 different shops and they have run diagnostics. They all report "no code appears".

Any suggestions - it will not pass inspection with teh SEL on.

3 different shops have said there are no codes?

I would think that there has to be a problem with the wiring or the ECM is freaked out.

If you're just trying to pass a sniff test, can you take the light bulb out before you get there?
