Engine Performance problem
2001 Buick Century 6 cyl

The 2001 buick century ran out of gas. Since it will not start. I was told it had a fuel shut off to protect the fuel pump when this happens. If this is true where is it.

There is no shut-off that I'm aware of? You have gas in it, correct? When you first turn the key on, no crank, can you hear the pump run for a few seconds? Did you check all applicable fuses. At the fuel pump connector, check for voltage and ground, with the engine cranking. Gray wire is voltage, black wire is ground.
