2000 Buick Century noise

A peeking noise in the motor, after it warms up it gets quit, but not completly gone. Could this be a big problem. I just bought the car

Peeking?

Chirping maybe?

May be belt glazing that can be removed by using valve grinding compound placed on different areas of the belt (while it is NOT running). If the noise stops after you start it, then it may be solved.

Other possibilities are a stretched belt, a weak tensioner of a pulley going bad.
