2000 Buick Century engine coolant

I do not have an owners manual. I am getting a low coolant light. The instructions next to the coolant resouir says follow owners manual instructions for adding coolant, otherwise it could result in damage. What are those instructions?

just add your 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water to the resevoir when cold, run it and keep adding. till its at the proper level.
