1999 Buick Century Whinny noise when accelerating

Can you tell me what is going on.
It makes a whinning noise when I accelerate
It also is over heating when I give it gas in park
It sounds like its a gear drivin` car
The sound does go away and come back
I t still runs goods, accelerates with no loss of power.
No oil in the water
no water in the oil
HELP! Please!

I'm by no means an expert but recently I had a serpentine belt replaced on my 1998 buick centry. After that I had a bad whinning noise when I gave it gas it got louder and higher pitched they took the new belt off and it stop so they replace the new belt with another one and it stoped. I hope this helped.
