Was tolf by a mechanic friend my #3 and #6 firing very faint most likey need to replave it. I saw a little rust on pin could I just clean the pins instead of replacing the whole coil?

Yes, I would try that first. IF there is corrosion, the contact it makes isn't as strong. Try it and let me know what you find.
