1999 Buick Century 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
This model buick has the engine air filter housing trapped beneath a diagonal brace on the driver side of the engine. The owners manual filter replacement instructions talk about a 'wing nut' on the air duct, and two clips on top of the filter assembly.
There is no such wing nut. The air duct is connected to the front of the filter housing by an adjustable screw-tightened clamp. Whats more, there doesn't appear to be enough room to 'move anything out of the way' to get at the filter in the housing.
What am I missing here?
Thanks for your help.
