After replacing missing fluid, the car drives okay for a day, maybe two. Then the fluid appears to leak out again. Is this possibly just from the pan gasket or am I looking at something more severe?

it sound like your seal are gone,or a bad pan gasket if its the front seal of your transmission, but if it the back seal, it can be fix with out taking it out.

Well, as little as I know about cars, I do know this is a front-wheel drive car. But I have no idea about how the transmissions are even mounted on these things, much less how they compare to rear-wheel drive cars. Is it possible for fluid to leak if you have bad CV-Joints?
