i replaced the egr valve due to a reading on a dianostic tester that said insufficient air flow egr valve that did not work i also cleaned the throttle body out and that did not work could this message be due to a bad catalatic converter or some other sensor related to the egr valve

have you checked teh DPFE sensor? if thats bad it wont detect the egr moving when it is.

could also be insufficent vaccum getting to it due to bad vaccum line.
