Electrical problem
1998 Buick Century 6 cyl

After an accident, I changed the two driver side doors. Since then, even though the doors close and lock well, it will not register on the dashboard display and interior lighting as closed.
Is this a sensor problem? Where can I locate it? What can I do about it? or else what IS the problem and how can I fix it?

Ok it sounds like it is a door pin switch or door ajar switch problem if all the wiring is good. Now these switches are either located on the door or the door opening. Sometimes they are near the door pin. If you have a digital multi meter we can make sure there is power to them. Get back to me and we will take it from there.

I forgot to mention I can not find any mechanism, door pin or the like on the door or door opening, like other cars have. Perhaps you have an image or drawing? Or is it maybe a chip or something else?
