Engine Mechanical problem
1996 Buick Century 6 cyl 119000 miles

i've noticed a ticking sound coming from my engine when i start it up...but it goes away after 5min or so or after driving...is this something i should be concerned about? or is there a cheap way to fix it, like using those engine treatments?
i never noticed the sound before cuz i had a bad a/c pulley and that would always whine, after i replaced it i noticed the ticking.

Are you using an oil filter that has an anti-flowback valve. Some of the filters will actually allow the oil to drain from them. As a result, you may hear a ticking until the pressure builds.
