1994 Buick Century inner tie rod removal tool - use

Inner tie rod removal tool...
are there any hickups associated with using this tool verses the whole dropping the carriage thing?

If you're talking about the long socket, it should work fine. If the rod end has hex flats, you should be able to remove it with nothing more than a Crescent wrench. I have on my 92 Century.
