Is there any way someone with no machanical background can possible fiure out how to install a new ignition switch mine just is crap I have to pop the hood and there is a wire (jumper) connected to the starter that I have to connect to the battery in order to start my car...........bascially how is it possible to fix the ignition switch

I am going to assume the key lock on the collum works to get pwoer on to gauges ect. And your jumper is connected to the starter solenoid.
So I figure when you turn the key to start position nothing happens. If this is the case then the switch is at fault so here is how it works, the key tumbler is connected to the switch by a rod that travels down the steering collum to the switch which is mounted on top of collum about at the brake pedal.
Two nuts hold it on and there is a connector taht you unclip. Then remove and replace. You might be able to adjust loosen two nuts slide switch up toward steering wheel tighten and try.
