I have seen universal hood release kit, in the autostore. I thought it was was a bit pricey. Where applicable you can tie a piece of wire to the release mechanism under the hood, let it hang down behind the front grill, tie the bottom of wire to metal support or something. I have the hood release on one of my vehicles wired like this, I reach under the bumper and grab the wire. It may not sound very professional, but, you can't beat the price and it works. I don't know if it would be applicable in your situation? Just a thought.
