1992 Buick Century Jumpy Transmission

Check tranny fluid
check vacuum lines
check engine operation and if its in need for a tune up

Id start by checking the ignition system. Usually a bad plug or wire will cause the jerking. Easy test is to remove the wires off the coil towers one at a time and look for rust or corrosion, ususlly the problem lies right there.
