1992 Buick Century harmonic balancer keeps going bad

something is causing my harmonic balancer to go bad. it makes a knocking noise. i had it replaced 3 times in less than 2 years and no one can figure out what is wrong. any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure what can go bad on one other than it may come loose.
