1992 Buick Century Fan runs, draining the battery

I have a 92 buick century 3.3 v6, and I noticed that whenever i turn the car off, the cooling fan still continue to run after the car is turned off. the car also overheats when i drive it.The radiator, hoses, as well as the belts, are just about new by the way. Can someone tell me most likely whats going on here?

check the engine coolant temp sensor. also the radiator fan relay may be faulty
