1991 Buick Century 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i ran out of gas put gas in went 2 miles cut off. i have replaced starter and alternator .it sounds like it wants to start but as soon as i stop it back fires.im praying it didnt skip timing. thank you for your helpppppp

sounds to me like a issue with a bad fuel pump, would like you to check the fuel pressure before we go any further.
