1991 Buick Century Engine Stall-Injector Pulse?

I just read the account of another Buick Century owner with a very similar experience.

My 91 Buick was running fine until recently. Then the engine light was coming on after running for awhile, but the car was still running.

Now, after driving the car and parking, then coming back and tried to start it, it wouldn't start.
It was cranking pretty good, but it wouldn't turn over. Had it towed to a service center and it still wouldn't start. But the next morning it turned over, ran for awhile then died. Then it wouldn't start again. But wait awhile for it to cool off and it would start again. It would run for a little bit then conk out again.

Any suggestions since the service center did a lot of the same checks for fuel pressure etc.

Could be the coil pack, ignition control module and crankshaft positioning sensor causing it-if the fuel system checks out-

When the last time you change the fuel filter? sometimes when the fuel filters plunged when you turn the car of the fuel system releases its pressure the filter will unplug itself for a few minutes, but I suggest that you first replace the fuel filter and then take the fuel pressure checked, so you can get an accurate measurement.

Thanks for the response. Where can i find the fuel filter? I think i can change it myself before i pay
bucks to some shop. Are there any pictures of its location?

I believe your local parts store as a component locator on their computer just pick up the filter and asked them where the fuel filter is on your car, you may have to purchase a special tool to remove the fuel lines but that will be less than $10 if you need any more help while you are performing the operation let me know.

You'll be needing a special tool

The fuel filter is located along the fuel line toward the rear of the car on the driver�s side. Drive the car�s rear tires up on a pair of stands, and crawl under on the driver�s side. This filter is a small canister with special �clipper� type of connectors. The connectors work kind of like electrical connectors in that you have to compress the plastic locking part to allow the fuel line to pull out

Someone suggested changing the crank sensor.
What do you think? Where can i find that on the car?
