JUST TWO AGO; MY 1989 BUICK CENTRUY STARTED CREATING A NOISE THAT SOUNDED LIKE A BEARING WAS OUT OF PLACE; EVERY TIME I INCREASED MY SPEED THE VIBRATIONS OF THE MECHANICAL NOISE INCREASED. THEN ALL IT JUST STOPED. IT FELT LIKE THE CAR JUST DIED; AT FIRST THE ENGINE OIL LIGHT CAME ON AND JUST WOULDNT START AGAIN. DURING THE MONTH BEFORE PEOPLE WHERE TELLING ME THAT I HAD A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM AND NEED OIL, BUT THEIR WAS OIL. SO WAS IT MY ALTERNATOR?

Will the engine crank? Does it try to start? Have you checked for spark and fuel pressure?

This may sound stupid but did your pulleys freeze up?
Is your drive belt intact? Will the car crank over at all?
