1988 Buick Century oil filter change

I need to know how to get the oil filter plug out of a 2.5l engine. If it screws out, I need to know if it has left handed threads or right-handed threads. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Right is tight left is loose.

I still can't get the oil filter out anymore. I made a gasket with some form of goop, and sealed it up so tight that the in-pan filter has been in there 8 years now.
