Engine Performance problem
1988 Buick Century 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive 150k miles

Engine is sound with new rings&a piston 2yrs.ago.It will run great forabout 1min,lots of power, smooth at 70mph every 30 secs to a min.power drops to 50%,chech engine comes on The temp.fix is to play with the foot feet -gas 2-3 times and it will smooth out real nice till the next cycle in 1 min. light goes off only to start over. When it wont start i unplug the temp censor by the temp gauge and it starts right up.I have changed cp.,all censors.map, throttle body control, air flo temp censor, ergand oxygen censor? it runs nice when it runs.when warm wants to stall hard to start then.if i's filter or pump i don't think i could get enough volume of gas to do 70 mph.when it goes to 50% power then i'm not sure whats happening?

Check for applicable mil codes? When it is running poorly, that is when you need to do testing. When the problem occurs, does it idle ok? If your TBI did you compare the injector spray pattern appearance when it is running good and bad? Use a gage and check fuel pressure, when it is running poorly.
