Bucking, chugging, stalling

2008 FORD ESCAPE
820,000 MILES • 4 CYL • 4WD • AUTOMATIC

My car is bucking and stalling like it's getting no gas. We have replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump and the fuel pressure sensor. It's still doing the same thing and throwing codes that it's running too lean. What else can we do?
Mileage is 82,000.

If it is setting lean codes then you may have a fuel issue or an air leaking too much air in and it is leaning out the fuel mixture.

Let's start with checking for a vacuum leak as shown above and go from there. Let us know what you find. Thanks

The problem was found this morning. It turned out to be the EGR valve.

That is great. I think we would have gotten there eventually but this update will surely help others jump right to that and at least test it or replace it.
