After replacing the broken timing belt there is a code saying camshaft sensor high input?

Hi,

I need to hear the engine cranking to confirm my thoughts. However, this is an interference engine and if the belt broke while it was running, there is likely internal damage such as bent valves. If that is what happened, that will cause compression loss and the sound you described when cranking.

If possible, record it cranking and upload it for me to hear. If you can't, do a compression test to see if there are low cylinders.

I'll try to record it! I was driving up a steep hill when the belt broke, and I haven't cranked the engine over yet, so I'll do a compression test first. As far as the sound I'm hearing is concerned, it sounds like a low spinning wind and the starter was working fine. When I replaced the belt, I disconnected the battery, and it erased the engine code. I want to say PO342 or PO345 I forgot to write it down. It sounds like a low spinning sound. The engine shut down right after the belt broke and I connected my scanner. I was hearing the same sound when the belt broke.

I meant to say hearing the same sound after the belt broke. The cause was from a bolt that got loose off the drive belt/serpentine belt tensioner it was halfway out of the tensioner mount.

Here's the video/audio I still haven't done a compression test the area I'm located at is not my home address and the tow truck driver thinks the starter isn't engaging so how do I get that going?

Guess what, it was the starter. I guess it's time to get a new one and I'm trying to get a compression kit so i know where I stand.

Were any belts turning or the crankshaft pulley when you recorded the audio? It certainly could be a faulty Bendix on the starter.

No the crankshaft wasn't turning or any belts I did tap on the starter between the solenoid and bending but no avail my friend says the starter is engaged.

If nothing was turning, then it is likely the starter. The motor is turning, but the Bendix isn't engaging it with the flex plate.

Okay, so, I replaced the starter battery and alternator are good recheck the timing marks again. I don't have means to get a compression kit, what's another way to check for compression and how do you find out if the valves are bent?

When I try to crank the car, I still get a winding sound not like a starter sound.

Is the crankshaft turning when the starter is working?

When cranking the engine over crankshaft camshaft drive belt is spinning but won't start there was a code after belt broke PO342 tested camshaft sensor for voltage range 5 to 7 brand new starter and battery/alternator are good! Disconnected the positive and negative to the battery so the ECM could drain I unplugged the fuse to the ECM. What else do I need to look for?

The camshaft sensor will not make the engine not start, I would see if the engine runs on starting fluid. Does the engine sounds okay when it is cranking over? it might not have compression if you unload a short video of the engine ranking I can tell for sure what's going on. Yep, it sounds like you have no compression. So the timing marks are off or the valves got bent, I would recheck the marks of the timing belt. Thanks for the video it helps. Here are the marks for the timing belt. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
