More than likely you broke the shift interlock. This is needed in order for the PCM to know that the shifter is in park or neutral so that it is safe to start the vehicle.
Clearly we are going to have to replace the shifter lever but at that time, you will need to inspect the solenoid and sensor. I attached the info below on this.
If you are not sure, you can get some pictures of the damage and we may be able to find the issue.
If nothing else, we will need to check for codes and see if there are open circuit codes that will tell us what the issue is.
