Grating noise coming from the brakes

i seem to have a grating noise coming from the offside. have been to a mechanic who said there is no issues with brakes apart from back brakes reading amber. Hey also did a clean and lubrication of front brakes. also, there is a slight knocking sound coming from front of car when i turn a sharp corner or on a full turn. I wonder if this might be an issue with grating noise.

Check for front end float and front bearing movement, there should be no movement rocking the wheel top to bottom, make sure the car is on stands first before working around the wheels. also, the knocking noise on turns is consistent with a failing drive shaft CV joint, have this looked at as well.
