Brake lights not working properly

They stay on like I pushed the brake then I hit the brake and they are still burning but not as bright. I let off the brake it goes to normal then right back to bright brake lights.

Hi,

Since it is changing when you move the brake pedal, the first thing I suggest is to inspect the brake pedal position sensor located at the top of the brake pedal. Make sure nothing is loose and the wiring connector is in good condition and not damaged.

I found the best pic I could for the location. See pic 1. It will have a connector containing 3 wires, so check that as well.
