So, the brakes get hot because they are not being released fully. This is typically because the brake master cylinder is not returning to its neutral position, or the brake booster is not returning. I would raise the car in the front after driving the car and see if the front wheels rotate freely, if not loosen the master cylinder mounting nuts 3 turns to see if the system releases. If so, chances are the brake master cylinder is bad. Here is a guide, video and instructions in the images below so you can fix the problem:
