1) Can the Toyota Camry A/C compressor 2006 to 2009 model work on the 1TR-FE engine?

2) I have an issue where my brakes would sometimes stick, and I would have to put my foot under the pedal and pull it up to release it I recently changed the brakes booster replaced the caliper seals and polished the rear drums I'm lost I don't know what the cause is here.

3) Regarding power if I depress the gas pedal from the start to the floor the vehicle will drive as if new but if I gradually depress it it starts moving when it gets to 20 or 30 if I depress the pedal to the floor after that the vehicle acceleration goes up slow until it reaches 60km/h or 80 then it would have a sudden jolt of power what could be that cause of that?

4) Now the engine that I have is a 1tr-fe.

Hi,

It sounds like a lot of different issues. The brake pedal is interesting. A faulty brake master cylinder can lead to a pedal that doesn't return. If the master cylinder's internal seals are damaged or worn, it may not allow the brake fluid to return to its reservoir after the pedal is released. Also, there could be an issue with the brake pedal linkage. Double-check to make sure nothing is bent, rubbing, or damaged in any way.

One other check. When you turn the engine off, is the brake pedal still easy to press a couple of times and then become stiff? Let me know.

Now, the AC compressor is a different issue. I have a question. Is this a Sienna van? I ask because nothing I have would have come with a 4-cylinder.

Last, is the check engine light staying on while the engine is running? If it is, scan the can-bus system. CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, the different modules are tied together via a few wires. This type of scan will retrieve codes regardless of the module storing them.

Here is a link showing how it's done:

Let me know.

Yes, the brake pedal is easy to press a few times after I shut off the engine it becomes stiff. Also, I didn't receive any feedback on the vehicle acceleration that I asked about. For instance; if I get a new car and start driving it the more I depress the gas pedal the faster the vehicle will go but with my vehicle especially when I have load/weight in it when I depress the gas pedal from start let's say 25% down the vehicle would move at turtle speed and while in that motion of I depress it 100%. It wouldn't go faster unless it's at 60 or 70 km/h then I would suddenly get a jolt of power. However, if I start driving from 0 km/h and depress the pedal to 100% or works the way it should but not fully there's still a bit of sluggish movement but not that big why is that happening.

Hi,

I need to know the model of the van. I'm not showing anything with a 4 cylinder. Also, is the check engine light staying on when the engine is running?

Let me know.

The model that I have is a Toyota Hiace Van 2005, and yes whenever the check engine light comes on it stays on. There are times when I start the vehicle and it doesn't come on.

Hi,

Okay, thanks. The van isn't offered in the US. That is why I couldn't find information in my manuals. As far as the acceleration issue, it could be a few things. It could be the result of a fuel pressure issue, a partially plugged catalytic converter, an issue with a throttle mass air flow sensor and so on,

What you need to do is have the computer scanned for diagnostic trouble codes. That will point you in the right direction. I'm struggling because I have no schematics or component information.

Here is a link that explains how to scan the CAN-bus:

Let me know if you can have that done.

Take care,

Joe

Oh, wait one more thing, I would like to purchase some books that have or that guide you on repairing Toyota vehicles or the manual that comes with the vehicle I'm not sure if you understand what I'm talking about. But if you do, can you guide me on where I can find this kind of book?

Hi,

If you are referring to the owner's manual, go to this link. You can download it from there.

https://www.manualslib.com/download/2515002/Toyota-Hiace.html

Let me know if that helps.

No, the owner's manual is specific to one vehicle I'm talking about the book that has a guide on how to do your repairs. I said before I'm not talking about the manual that comes with the vehicle when you purchase it.
