When getting new tires at Sam’s Club they said the rims were slightly bent on all tires. The mechanic we typically use is a trusted family friend that has never mentioned them being bent or in need of repair. After taking the car to Sam’s the car has trouble braking. When you brake the car the steering wheel shakes violently and makes a loud thudding noise, almost like it’s rocking. It feels like the passenger and driver tires are braking at different times causing a stutter action and creating the wobble. The harder you brake the worse it is. This was not the case before Sam’s. Some have said to get new rims, check the brake pads, or call out Sam’s for messing up he car. What is your advice?

Good afternoon,

I would take it to another shop for a second opinion. They may have over tightened the wheels and warped the rotor for the brakes.

The wheels have a specific torque to hole them on and need to be hand torques. A lot of techs just drive the lugs on with an air gun not thinking what they could be damaging.
