Hi, I got gas Friday and when I was starting to drive someone almost backed into me. I hit the brakes and it sounded like someone hit me. I had no damage or any cars around me. Not sure what this could be. The other problem is when I hit the gas the rear end feels like it is trying to catch up like it is almost lagging. I checked the u joints there was no play in it. Any ideas? Also, sometimes when I hit the gas the truck will only go up to 2000 or 2500 rpm and will not go go faster. I have my foot to the floor. I have new fuel pump new tank new filter and a new throttle body. Ever since I put the new throttle body on it does not act right. When I start it up it runs rough. I also changed distributor cap wires and plugs and rotor. Also the electronic thing under the distributor cap. The brake fluid is full no leaks master cylinder and brake booster look good. Thanks.

Good morning.

Do the rear wheels turn okay when the brakes are not applied? Make sure they are turning free. It could be the e-brake system holding the rear shoes applied.

Also, does the engine rev above the 2500 without being in gear?

Yes, it will go above that without being in gear. The wheels turn fine. The only thing I saw was the axle seal was leaking. I got new parts to do it.

The only thing I feel is like a wobble in the rear end. Almost feels like the death wobble in the rear end on both sides. Checked differential fluid and it was still full.

I would have the catalytic converter checked for being clogged. The wobbling you have may be from the engine not running correctly.

With the old throttle body it ran great. When I got the new one is when I started to have more problems. Also, the engine is brand new but I guess it could have something wrong with it.

Just to be sure, replace the throttle body with the old one and see if the issues are gone.

Yeah I will try it. The only thing that happened on the old one was it would not spray like the new one does. The injectors seemed clogged. But no problems with it. I will just change the top out and see if it makes a difference. When I got the new on it smelled like someone sprayed wd40 in it and just cleaned it. It was a rebuilt top. Tomorrow or sometime this week I will get the cat looked at. I have been meaning to do it because the exhaust smells rich and I know the muffler needs replaced also I hit it with a rubber mall and heard broken particles in it almost like rust or it has just decayed. I will let you know what the outcome is.
