I started the car put it in reverse and i can not go anywhere my brakes have locked up the light is on and it says low break fluid why are my breaks locked up and how can i fix this problem.

it may be due to low brake fluid, something may have gotten into ABS unit. I have a mechanic try to bleed system with his scanner. but from your description probably brake fluid was never changed and now dirt is in ABS unit locking your brakes.
