Brakes not working properly

So my car works fine, but I noticed that when I get into my car and try to reverse I will hold the brake and shift into reverse then slowly let the brake goes but I hear this kind of air pressure in the brake then I cannot brake (stop) the car from reversing. I have to push really really hard and it barely slows the car down, luckily it is always out of my driveway or after hours out of work, but then even at that after I switch gears to drive I notice that it goes on its own, like I don't push the gas and it accelerates a little bit. It worries me and no ABS lights or brakes lights are on my dashboard. Help!

This sounds to me like you have air in your brake lines. Brakes work by pushing hydraulic brake fluid and squeezing calipers together to provide friction on rotors attached to the wheels to slow the wheels down, much like a 10 speed bike's brakes. If air gets into the system then the effective force of the brake fluid diminishes. Here is a link down below explaining what's going on and how to fix it:

Please go through this guide and get back to us with what you are able to find out.

With this problem my brake doesn't go all the way to the floor. Actually is the opposite problem, doesn't even want to be pressed at all. It like it gets stuck, kind of like when you pump a basketball with air from a pump and you can feel the resistance the pump wants to give. That is the best way I can describe it.

Is the brake malfunction indicator or the malfunction indicator lamp[MIL]or "check engine" light illuminated?

Thanks,

No lights are on other than the low tire pressure.
