My mechanic replaced the master cylinder and checked all wheel cylinders. It did not solve the problem, and now he is out of town for two weeks. He mentioned that on this s-10, it may be a problem with the ABS module and it may need to be replaced. He may be able to solve the problem when he comes back to town, but in the meantime I can't drive it. I dread having to take it to the local Chevrolet dealer as they charge a fortune to fix anything. Any advice/suggestion would be appreciated.

Does this look like your brake booster? I looked up your brake booster in online parts book. If brakes go to the floor and no brake or warning lamps on the dash, check the booster--engine vacuum--and vacuum to the booster.

That looks very similar to the booster. The brake and ABS lights have been on for years, but no problems with braking until now. I' ll suggest checking the booster and vacuum.
