Brake light came on

We swapped out pads on all four wheels, resurfaced disc. Ohio's I did not do enough small pumps before driving home and as I was leaving the pedal went all the way down and brake light came on. Gave more small pumps and pedal got firm again. But light will not turn off. I am looking for proportioning valve, but cannot not find it. I appreciate any help, thank you.

Hello,

Try this, while stopped, stab at the brake pedal three times. The turn the key on and see if the light is gone.
