I have changed brake pads and disc at rear passenger side. During the change piston was not push back so I press the brake few time piston came out and brake oil spill with it I clean the area and then push back piston it went back. I have put new brake pads and new disc. I did not top up my brake oil. Now when I press my brakes it's soft and I tried multiple time as I press the pedal I hear sound like air pump. My question is what is it's solution? Do I need to bleed all to get air out? Or just brake fluid top up will do it? Or I need to install new brake caliper? Or can I drive it to the mechanic? As brake system looks like so soft and foot goes all the way down? Need your suggestions ?
thanks,
Muhammad Usman

Hi,

Recheck the caliper that came apart. Make sure there are no leaks. Since the piston came out, there may have been damage.

Also, if there are no leaks, confirm the brake fluid is full. If it is and there are no leaks, chances are the brake master cylinder failed.

Take a look at this link:

Let me know what you find. Also, I wouldn't recommend driving it until the problem is identified and resolved.

Take care,

Joe

Hello and good afternoon,

I have bled brake fluid and after that I drive my car in street a bit and then I went on drive at 60 km so brake start working but I don't know how it will do on motorways. Seems ok what should I check now as brake fluid wasn't a leak, I checked that I have attached a small video that shows how much air was trap when I bleed brake fluid. What's your suggestion now? Kind regards, m usman
