Loud thud and hard to brake after rear hub and bearing replacement

Shoes have been replaced on both sides as well.

Hi,

Was the noise from the rear of the vehicle? Did you notice any leaks from the brake lines, hoses and so on?

I noted that the brake shoes have been replaced. Was that done before or after the noise? Also, I attached a pic below and highlighted and circled something. If you haven't already done this, check to make sure the shoe retainers haven't broken and the bearing nut is properly tightened.

Also, let me know if the brake pedal feels differently since this happened.
