Brake pedal switch and shifter

I have replaced the brake lamp with. Now shifter is stuck in park. I over ride shifter but out of first gear it barely goes. Now wining noise and hardly any power. When parts place clears brake codes it drives fine for a day. Help!

"I have replaced the brake lamp with" with what? LED's? If so pleas remove them and install the stock bulbs. The LED's create all kinds of back feeding problems into the electrical system.
