Brake pedal noise

sometimes when i operate the brake pedal i get a metallic noise. my brakes are working perfectly but this noise is really annoying. sounds sort of like a spring.

Hi,

Is the sound coming from in the vehicle or does it seem to be coming from outside the vehicle? Although the brakes are working normally, you could have a brake pad that is worn and allowing the backing plate to touch the rotor. Also, often times there are steel sensors built into the brake pads to indicate when it is time to replace them.

I attached a pic of the steel sensor I was describing above. Check to see if it is touching the brake rotor.
