Brake noise

Just recently my brakes started making a really rough sounding noise when I press them all the way down and come to a stop. What could this be? I’d like to fix it myself if it’s a cheap fix.

Welcome to 2CarPros. Loud grinding sounds like worn out brake pads and they are grinding steel on steel. If that is the case you will be replacing at least the brake pads and rotors. The first step would be to jack it up and remove the tires to check the front and rear brakes to determine what parts will need to be replaced. Price wise it will depend on which parts are needed and what price level of parts you use.
