Do I have to drop the gas tank to get to the fuel pump?

You have a tap door here is how to replace the pump.
WARNING:
A. When removing the fuel tank, keep sparks, cigarettes, and open flames away from it.
B. Before replace the fuel tank, clean it thoroughly with steam to remove all explosive.
C. Drain the fuel from the fuel tank before removing the tank.
1. Release fuel system pressure. Refer to "Releasing fuel system pressure".
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal from the battery.
3. Drain the fuel from the fuel tank.
4. Remove the rear seat.
5. Remove the service cover under center floor carpet.
6. Disconnect the fuel pump electrical connector, the EVAP hose, the main and return hose.
WARNING: When disconnecting fuel hose quick connectors, use shop towels to absorb fuel, protecting equipment and personnel.
7. Disconnect the breather hose.
8. Disconnect the joint hose.
9. Unfasten the fuel tank-fixing bolts.
10. Remove the fuel tank.
