Cyclops brake light works other brake lights will not. Is there any way to bypass the brake switch and hot wire from the cyclops light?

Good morning,

Cyclops? Please explain?

Why do you want to bypass this?

Morning, I meant the third brake light. What wire is, the hot. I cannot afford the part and labor and it is my only vehicle. I was going to run two hots from it straight to the brake.

Okay.

I attached the wire diagram for the lights.

Check the fuse for power on both side. Then check for power to the switch. One side should be hot. Then push the pedal and the other side should be hot as well.

The output feeds both the third light as well as the back lights.

See the third light works bulbs are new. I had it looked at they said it was the switch in the steering column they said like $300.00 for the part and $500.00 for the labor. My turn signals did not work but he had got them un-stuck for now they work, but my brakes light still do not, I have checked all fuses they are good. I know the third light works need the car tonight at 5:00 for work so I was going the hillbilly route and wire it off the light until I can get the parts.

Make sure the white wire at the turn signal switch has power with the brake pedal depressed.

Yes, the turn signal switch may be the issue.

I attached a part diagram from rock auto. The switch is about $150.00.

The labor is only 1.3 hours. That is about $125.00.

You need another shop as they are taking advantage of you big time.
