Brake lights?

I have a 1994 Dodge Dakota v8 2wd. I recently noticed my brake lights stopped working completely, all of my other lights work, even my hazard lights which use the same bulb, I have tried changing the bulbs, i installed a new rear connection, I replaced and tested the interior brake light switch, I checked the ground on the firewall, I have checked the fuses, my battery is fully charged, but today I took my starter to the local auto parts store to have it tested and it was bad, but I am not sure if that makes a difference, I have tried asking around and nobody seems to know, and suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
