Brake lights

I replaced the turn signal cam all functions operate fine when used separately.
The problem I am having is when the right turn signal is on the left brake light goes off and when the left turn signal is on the right brake light goes off.
The brake light opposite of the turn signal used goes off.

check for a bad ground on taillights or bad sockets.ground should be in back of truck on frame or inside around taillight housing. then make sure there is a good connection at battery to body ground.
