I put a topper shell on my truck that has an eye level brake light. Where do I connect the wire for that light that will only light for brakes, not turn signal? If possible, I would like to do all the connecting in the left tail light.

I am not sure, but the diagram appears to be the existing eye level brake light on the cab of the truck. I am hoping to be able to tap a wire from the left tail light that will be hot when the brakes are applied and not hot during turn signal operation. I am inclined to believe that if there is a brown wire to the left taillight, it would be "tail and marker."

No, it is different besides, every time you put your left turn signal on the brake light on top would blink. What I sent is the best place to do it so you do not mess up anything else on the system.
