Brake warning light on?

I've checked my brake fluid and it is near the max line just below it and the fluid is good and the brake pads are also good I noticed corrosion on top of the brake fluid reservoir my brake pedal feels good and normal and same with the brakes themselves there's no dampness on the brake lines my parking brake is good as well so I dont know what could really cause the light to stay on it turned off for like 5 seconds while I was driving but then turned on again.

I would next check the brake-fluid level switch in the master-cylinder reservoir and the parking-brake warning switch. These are the main issues, though the brake proportioning valve might be bad as well. These are the main reasons for that light to be on, please go over this guide as well.

I would start by disconnecting the brake-fluid level sensor connector and see whether the warning light changes. These are all ground connection warning switches so disconnecting them one at a time should tell you which one is causing the issue.

I disconnected the brake fluid level sensor like you said and the brake warning light turned off so thank you.

So sorry to bug you but I got a new brake fluid level sensor and put it on the car the light turns off now when starting the car but it flickers for a split second then turns off it's not like the other lights that flick on they flick on for a few seconds then turn off I put the key in the on position and with the parking brake not enabled and the light stayed on but it's dim not fully on like when I enable the parking brake it gets brighter I think it's a wire issue but I don't really know where to start.

Does the light go off when the brake fluid level sensor is disconnected? IF so you got a defective sensor or the brake fluid level is low.
