Hi, the vehicle's brake was lighting when the brake pedal was not depressed, I thought the issue was the brake switch, I removed the tail light fuse from the fuse bus, the light went off. After some days I went back later to the vehicle, I replaced the fuses that I removed but this time the light didn't come up. I pressed the brake pedal it still didn't come up. I removed the connector from the brake switch and there was voltage at the connector when tested. I jumped the wires together, yet the light didn't come on. I tested the fuses, there was no voltage at all at both sides but there's power at the switch. What could be the fault? I would appreciate if I could have the circuit diagram.

This is the wiring for the Sentra that was the rebadged Sunny they sold in the US. The diagram should be close with a light green power into the switch and a light green with red stripe coming out? If those are the same then it could be the light sensor module, do all other lights work, just no brake lamps? Does it have a high mounted brake light as well?

Okay, that version was sold as the N14 series which should be the NX here in the US. Nissan was moving models around in 1990 and 1991 as they changed what they sold in different markets. From what I can find the NX used the same wiring as the N14 the Sunny was built from. This should be the OE wiring for that system. No lighting module on this design. It looks like the brake lights used a single fuse to power them with one next to it to power the running lights. It sent power to the switch so if you have power at the switch the fuses should be okay. They normally use a single ground for all of the lighting in the rear so if the other lights work then the grounds should be okay as well. What you could try is to go to the switch and apply battery voltage directly through a fused jumper wire and see if the lights come on then. If not then I would test the bulbs, it would be strange but it's possible something shorted out in the rear and shut off the brake lights.
I'll dig around a bit and see if anyone has the OE service manual for the actual Sunny, but Nissan likes to keep things quiet when it comes to the service information.

Went hunting and found the service manuals for both versions of the car the early B13 and later N14. The attached are the wiring for both versions. They sold them under a few names, the Sunny, The NX and in other countries as the Pulsar.

From the last diagram, The power to the two 10A fuses, is it coming from the lighting switch?

Yes, those are the fuses for the front and rear marker lights, The 15 amp is the power to the brake lamps.

That would be the two 10 amp fuses you mentioned. However the manual mentions that they should also turn on when the engine is running, I would assume that means that a daytime running lamp system was available.
