Brake light and battery light

Brake light and battery light Has been on for three or four days. My car died this morning we just put a new battery in and the brake light and battery light is still on the car is running fine now. The alternator was just replaced in 2017. But my concern is why is brake light on and battery light still on?

The alternator was check is good, what else could it possibly be ?

Hello,

This sounds to me like you could be having a short to power situation going on with these two bulb circuits. Unfortunately the individual circuits cannot be serviced as they are an integral part of the combination meter, so the combination meter itself must be replaced as an entire component. In the diagrams down below I have included a wiring diagram of your vehicle's warning and information circuits. I have also included the OEM parts numbers for the different option vehicle's manufactured for your year, make, and model vehicle.
